President of the Kuwaiti AI Society: The UAE experience is inspiring for the countries of the region

Abu Dhabi, February 4/ WAM/ Sheikh Mohamed Ahmed Al -Sabah, President of the Association of Artificial Intelligence for Things in Kuwait, confirmed that the UAE experience in dealing with artificial and technical intelligence in general is inspiring for the countries of the region.
He said in his speech to the Emirates News Agency “WAM” on the sidelines of his participation in the world of artificial intelligence in Abu Dhabi today, that the UAE was the first to appoint a minister of artificial intelligence, and it has become one of the leading countries in adopting and developing these technologies.

He pointed out that the UAE has become in the ranks of developed countries in the field of artificial intelligence and digital empowerment, as European countries are comparable in this field, pointing out that the association is working to conclude memoranda of understanding with Emirati government companies and companies to exchange experiences in the field of artificial intelligence.
He stressed that the attendance of the association at the summit aims to benefit from this experience and enhance cooperation between the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, through exchanging knowledge and experiences, and working to formulate a unified strategy for artificial intelligence in the region.
Al -Sabah stressed the importance of holding such events, which contribute to spreading awareness of technical developments between citizens and decision -makers, expressing his aspiration that the countries of the region have followed the example of the UAE in organizing such conferences to enhance attendance in the global technology square.

Al -Sabah talked about the association’s efforts to localize the technology sector in Kuwait and to introduce artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things in state institutions, noting that the association, which was launched a year ago, seeks to achieve these goals by representing Kuwait in international forums, participating in international conferences, and training national cadres .
He stressed that Kuwait is steadfastly towards digital transformation, and is currently working on developing a national strategy for artificial intelligence in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications, the authority responsible for this sector in the country.
