The National Media Office confirms the need for social media users to adhere to national values and policies

The National Media Office stressed the importance of the commitment of all social media users in the country to the values and principles that reflect the state’s policies and approach based on respect, tolerance and coexistence.
This came in an official statement in which the office stressed the need to take into account the moral and legal controls when using digital platforms, and the need to refrain from publishing any content that may include abuse or diminishing national principles and symbols, public figures, sister and friendly countries and their societies.
The statement stressed that the office, in cooperation with the concerned authorities, will take the necessary legal measures against anyone who violates these directives, in accordance with the laws in force in the state, which aims to preserve a safe and balanced digital environment that enhances the climate of mutual respect.
The statement also indicated that the publication of misleading information, a letter that urges hatred, or defaming others, whether frankly, by hinting, reference, or implicitly, is considered one of the violations that will be faced with strict legal penalties..
The statement stressed that everyone is responsible for preserving the good reputation of the UAE, which was confirmed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State “may God protect him” for the people of the country, when His Highness indicated that they are ambassadors of the UAE and that they have to consolidate its good reputation and give a positive image of the state with their knowledge and good education and their sense of national affiliation, saying: Emirati, so we are all responsible to create a good reputation for this country, because you are all“.
The office called on social media users to have responsibility in the content that is published or circulated through various platforms.
The office pointed to the continued coordination with the competent authorities to monitor any violations through social media platforms, and take appropriate measures regarding them. He also called on individuals to report any violating or abusive content through the approved official channels, in the context of efforts to preserve a digital media environment characterized by responsibility and credibility.
The National Media Office urged the pioneers of social networking sites to create the morals of our rational leadership that sets the example in humility and high morals, noting that the behavior of the individual homelands should be consistent with the vision of the leadership aimed at adhering to our customs and our authentic values.
The office also called for adhering to the distinctive general frameworks of the Emirati personality on social media, which was identified by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God bless him”, which is a figure represented by the image of the founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul” and Zayed’s morals in its interaction with people, A personality that reflects the knowledge, culture and the civilized level that the UAE has received, a personality that moves away from insults and insults and all that scratches modesty in the conversation, a character who appreciates the good word .. and the beautiful image .. and the positive interaction with ideas, cultures and societies, a beneficial personality for others with information and a copy of the ideas and societal and humanitarian initiatives that the country abounds in.
