Dubai Police conducted 379 mounted patrols during the first quarter

DUBAI, 9 APRIL / WAM / The Dubai Police General Command, represented by the Mounted Police Station, conducted 379 mounted patrols in various jurisdictions, including residential, commercial and tourist areas, during the first quarter of this year, which contributed to enhancing security and safety, in addition to supporting communication with various segments of society.

Lieutenant Colonel Dhahi Al Jallaf, acting director of the Mounted Police Station, confirmed that the center is keen to strengthen community communication and establish security and safety in cooperation with police stations, in implementation of the directives of His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police.

He explained that mounted patrols play an important role in enhancing security, participating with other patrols in security tasks and community events, and spreading reassurance among members of society, pointing out that they have become an essential part of the security patrol system in the emirate.

He pointed out that the Mounted Police Station contributes to achieving a strategic goal of reducing crime, by carrying out patrols in narrow areas that vehicle patrols cannot reach, in addition to its role in arresting accused and wanted persons.

He explained that the mounted patrols participated during the first quarter of this year in securing 67 community events and 6 sporting events, reflecting their security and community role.

He added that the center’s tasks include securing matches, organizing endurance races, in addition to training students within the therapeutic training program in cooperation with the Ministry of Family and the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, and other tasks.
