The ferocity and foolishness of the Iranian aggression against the Gulf states was not expected

The Diplomatic Advisor to His Highness the President of the State, Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, confirmed during the “Reassessing Alliances in a Time of Tension” session within the “Gulf Influencers” Forum, today, in Dubai, that the ferocity, foolishness and calculations of the Iranian aggression with regard to the Arab Gulf countries were not expected.
Gargash considered that Iran was behaving like a superpower without a nuclear weapon, wondering: “What would the situation be like if it possessed a nuclear weapon?” He said: “The issue cannot be addressed with statements… and we are facing a crisis of confidence that will extend for decades to come.”
He explained that the Iranian aggression was planned, and its ferocity exceeded expectations, stressing that all Gulf states worked to avoid war and there was an implicit agreement not to use Gulf lands against Iran.
The diplomatic advisor to His Highness the President of the State said that the Gulf Cooperation Council has achieved economic achievements, but it did not rise to the occasion this time.
