2000 competitors participate in the “Tadawi” running race in Dubai

About 2,000 competitors of different nationalities and age groups participated in the “Tadawi” running race, which was held today, in the Jumeirah area, organized by the Tadawi Healthcare Group, in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council, under the slogan “We are all for the Emirates,” with the aim of promoting physical activity and establishing a culture of preventive care as a sustainable lifestyle.
The event witnessed the participation of Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, who led the competitors in the 10 km category, which added great momentum to the event, which was held in an enthusiastic atmosphere and professional organization.
Issa Sharif, Director of the Sports Events Department at the Dubai Sports Council, confirmed that the public turnout and positive atmosphere reflect the growing community awareness of the importance of practicing sports, noting that the participation of this number of competitors embodies the Council’s vision of making sports a means of enhancing the health of individuals and community rapprochement.
He added that the event comes within the Council’s strategic plan aimed at enhancing the quality of life in Dubai, and turning sports into a daily activity for all segments of society, citizens and residents, by supporting community initiatives in partnership with the private sector, which contributes to spreading sports culture and expanding the base of practice.
Marwan Ibrahim Haji Al Nasser, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Tadawi Healthcare Group, stressed that the race embodies the national trend towards establishing a healthy lifestyle based on prevention, and reflects the integration of efforts between the health and community sectors in supporting quality of life.
He pointed out that the large attendance reflects the success of the event in bringing together various segments of society under the slogan “We are all for the Emirates,” thanking His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri for his support and participation, and to all participants, volunteers, sponsors and medical staff, in addition to the Dubai Sports Council, for their role in making the event a success.
