"Mecca Road" One of the initiatives of the Ministry of the Interior within the Program for Serving the Guests of the Most Gracious, one of the programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which is witnessing a growing expansion in its geographical and service scope, with its implementation during this year’s Hajj season 1447 AH in (10) countries through (17) international outlets, in an embodiment of the Kingdom’s keenness to develop the Hajj system and raise the level of its services in accordance with the best international practices.

Advanced digital architecture

The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority leads (Sdaya) has played a pivotal role in supporting the initiative, by providing an advanced digital infrastructure based on the latest data and artificial intelligence technologies. The initiative’s halls in Makassar are equipped with modern devices and advanced operating systems that contribute to raising the efficiency of procedures and enhancing the accuracy of processing, by automatically following up on the systems related to the initiative, and providing continuous technical support to ensure continuity of performance, in addition to enhancing the readiness of workstations and technical infrastructure in various outlets.

The technical teams work to manage and operate the systems in the initiative’s sites in an integrated manner, in order to achieve Streamlining the movement of pilgrims, and contributing to facilitating their transportation from the moment they arrive at the initiative’s halls in their countries until they arrive at their places of residence, within an integrated experience that reflects the level of technical progress witnessed by Hajj services.

These efforts come as an extension of the Kingdom’s established approach to harnessing the human and technical capabilities to serve the guests of God, and developing the Hajj experience through innovative solutions based on quality and efficiency, in a way that enhances its leadership position in serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors. It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Interior is implementing the initiative in its eighth year in cooperation with a number of government agencies, and since its launch in (1438 AH/2017 AD) it has contributed to serving (1,254,994) pilgrims.
