المملكة: Urgent: The Haramain Train increases its capacity to 2.21 million seats during the Hajj season

In light of the care and attention given by the wise leadership to serving the guests of God, it announced Saudi Railways "He walked" Increase its operating capacity to The Haramain Express Train during the Hajj season 1447 AH reached more than (2.21) million seats, in a step that reflects the continuous expansion in serving pilgrims and keeping pace with the growing demand for transportation between the two holy cities of Mecca and Medina.
This confirms the readiness "He walked" And its integrated readiness to provide highly efficient transportation services, as the operating capacity for this year’s Hajj season represents an increase of more than (210) thousand seats compared to the last season, while the operation witnesses the implementation of (5,308) flights during the season, an increase estimated at (11%), which enhances the efficiency of movement and provides greater options for the pilgrims.
Greater flow
At a time when the number of daily flights at peak times will exceed (142) flights per day, which contributes to achieving streamlined flow. Greater transportation of the guests of God between Mecca and Medina, reducing waiting times, and raising the quality of the travel experience. The actual operation phase witnesses the launch of the first flights of pilgrims to the Holy House of God via the Haramain Express Train on Tuesday (5) May, from King Abdulaziz International Airport Station to Mecca Al-Mukarramah Station, as part of the plan to transport pilgrims during the Hajj season 1447 AH, while the train continues to transport the Guests of God between Mecca and Medina.
The fleet includes the Haramain Train The express train has 35 trains, with a capacity of 417 seats for each train, and is characterized by being free of carbon emissions, making it an environmentally friendly option, in addition to its contribution to reducing pressure on the road network and enhancing transportation safety. The train operates on a route extending for about (453) kilometers, and is considered one of the ten fastest passenger trains in the world with an operating speed of up to (300) kilometers per hour, as it covers the distance between Mecca and Medina in about two hours.
Haramain Express Train
The Haramain Express Train connects five main stations, including Mecca, Medina, Jeddah Main Station (Sulaymaniyah), King Abdullah Economic City Station, and King Abdulaziz International Airport Station, which facilitates the transportation of the guests of God with ease and reassurance, and enhances the efficiency of connecting cities and vital facilities within the modern transportation system in the Kingdom.
This plan comes as an extension of the role it plays. "He walked" Within the modern transportation system in the Kingdom, by providing integrated and safe transportation solutions that contribute to facilitating the movement of the pilgrims, which supports achieving the objectives of the national strategy for transport and logistics services, and enhances the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in improving the quality of services provided to pilgrims, in addition to its contribution to supporting the pilgrims’ service program by improving the transportation experience and raising the efficiency of the pilgrim’s faith journey from the moment of arrival until the performance of the rituals with ease and reassurance.
