The death toll from floods and landslides has risen to 18 in Kenya

The number of deaths due to Floodsand landslides caused by Heavy rain in Kenya to 18 people.

The Kenyan police explained in a statement that Landslides were recorded in the districts of Tharaka Nithi, Elgeo-Marakwe and Kiambu, in the central and eastern regions of the country, as a result of continued heavy rainfall.

The competent authorities continue to monitor the field conditions and take the necessary measures to deal with the repercussions of the weather conditions.
