The Sharjah Chamber reviews the emirate’s industrial system in an exhibition "Made in UAE"

ABU DHABI, 4th May / WAM / The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, represented by the Sharjah Export Development Center, is participating in the activities of the fifth edition of the “Make in the UAE 2026” exhibition, as part of the Chamber’s keenness to support the competitiveness of national industries in global markets, and to encourage the adoption of the latest manufacturing technologies in line with the objectives of the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology.”
The Chamber’s participation came through an integrated pavilion that included representatives of a number of companies and institutions specialized in the industrial sector in the Emirate of Sharjah, with the aim of reviewing the integrated industrial system that the Emirate embraces, and highlighting the Chamber’s efforts in supporting young entrepreneurs and enabling them to build sustainable industrial projects capable of competing, as well as highlighting the role of the Sharjah Export Development Center in opening new international markets for local manufacturers.
The participation witnessed the presence of His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadhi, Director General of the Sharjah Chamber, Jamal Saeed Bu Zangal, Director of the Corporate Communications Department at the Chamber, and Ali Al Jari, Director of the Sharjah Export Development Center.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, Al Owais held a series of meetings with a number of heads of chambers of commerce and representatives of major national and international industrial companies. The meetings discussed consolidating industrial flexibility, securing supply chains, and contributing to promoting investment opportunities in the industrial sector, in addition to researching ways to accelerate the localization of vital industries, support emerging companies and small and medium enterprises, and empower Emirati competencies in the industrial field.
Al Owais inspected the pavilions of the participating industrial establishments and projects from the Emirate of Sharjah, where he was briefed on their various offers and innovations in the fields of manufacturing that keeps pace with the latest technologies, and met with a number of entrepreneurs and industrialists to learn about their aspirations and future projects. He praised the level of qualitative presence of industrial companies from Sharjah, stressing that the industrial products and solutions provided by these facilities reflect the depth of the integrated industrial system that the emirate embraces, and the sector’s ability to meet global standards in quality, innovation and sustainability, thus establishing the emirate’s competitiveness as a leading destination for industries in the region.
The Chamber’s pavilion reviewed the industrial components that characterize the Emirate of Sharjah, the advanced infrastructure it contains, and the ongoing development projects, in addition to the strategic geographical location, the flexible legislative environment, and the competitive incentives that have consolidated the emirate’s position as a leading center for manufacturing in the region, in addition to introducing the promising industrial opportunities to business owners and investors.
Al Owais stressed that the exhibition represents a national pillar that places industrial transformation at the top of the UAE’s economic priorities, and contributes to directing investments towards advanced industries, empowering national competencies, and expanding channels of cooperation between the public and private sectors. He pointed out that the Chamber’s participation in this session comes as confirmation of its keenness to contribute to the efforts aimed at consolidating the country’s position as a leading center for advanced manufacturing, and enhancing the competitiveness of the Emirate of Sharjah as a distinguished destination for major qualitative industrial investments, through an integrated system of services. Promotional facilities and platforms, trade missions, and economic forums organized by the Chamber to connect the business community in Sharjah with global markets.
For his part, His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadhi explained that the Chamber’s participation in the exhibition aims to highlight the ability of industrial products in Sharjah to compete in international markets, and to shed light on the emirate’s innovations in the fields of smart manufacturing, automation, and flexible supply chain solutions, which have today become a major focus for the flexibility of the national industrial system. He pointed out that the event provides a strategic opportunity for direct interaction with investors and manufacturers from various parts of the world, enhancing the presence of industrial companies in Sharjah, exchanging experiences, and opening new horizons for developing joint projects.
It is noteworthy that the Sharjah Chamber participates annually in the exhibition and supports, alongside industrial companies based in Sharjah, enabling young entrepreneurs to innovate industrial projects through a package of qualifying programs that include digital marketing, artificial intelligence opportunities, business flexibility and continuity, and enhancing the growth of emerging companies, thus preparing a new generation of industrialists capable of competing in the knowledge economy and digital transformation.
