High prices of gold and other precious metals

Capitals, May 5, WAM/ Gold prices rose today after rebounding from their lowest level in more than a month in the previous session.

The price of gold in spot transactions rose 0.5 percent to $4,541.39 per ounce. US gold futures for June delivery rose 0.4 percent to $4,550.70.

As for other precious metals, the price of silver in spot transactions rose 0.4 percent to $73.03 per ounce, the price of platinum rose 1.3 percent to $1,970.85, and the price of palladium increased 1.2 percent to $1,497.91.
