"Global Pharma" It plans to set up a new pharmaceutical manufacturing unit in Angola to serve African markets

Abu Dhabi, 5 May / WAM / His Excellency Mohammed Saeed Al Raqbani, Director General of Dubai Industrial Investments, a member of the Board of Directors of Global Pharma, a Dubai Investments company, confirmed that the company currently produces more than 100 types of various medicines and exports its products to about 15 countries around the world, which reflects the growing presence of the UAE pharmaceutical industry in international markets.
Al Raqbani revealed in statements to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, on the sidelines of the activities of the fifth session of the “Make in the UAE 2026” platform, that Global Pharma is in the process of establishing a new pharmaceutical manufacturing unit within the Dubai Investment Park in Angola to serve African markets, with production starting next year, 2027.
He explained that during the next six months, other pharmaceutical manufacturing units will be operated in Angola to produce Global Pharma medicines, which supports the company’s plans to expand on the African continent and enhance the spread of its products globally.
He pointed out that Global Pharma products are witnessing an increasing demand in foreign markets driven by the quality of the products and the growing confidence in UAE industries, pointing to the signing of a number of cooperation agreements with Indian and British companies to develop and manufacture specific medicines.
He said that the company seeks to expand globally by adopting advanced technology in the pharmaceutical industry sector and enhancing its competitiveness in global markets, stressing that the “Made in the Emirates” platform over its five cycles reflects the UAE’s leadership in advanced industries.
He added that the industrial investment environment in the UAE enjoys broad support through a system of stimulating legislation and laws, in addition to policies that support the national product, and the confidence of global markets in the quality of the Emirati product, in addition to the availability of energy components, technology, advanced infrastructure, export opportunities, financing and governance, which enhances the country’s position as one of the most attractive destinations for industrial investments.
He stressed that the slogan “Made with Proud in the Emirates” embodies the value of the national product associated with the name of a country that has made industry a model of pride, trust and transparency, noting that this slogan represents a national commitment to standards of quality, innovation and sustainability, and enhances the position of UAE industries in regional and global markets, adding that the successes achieved in the industrial sector reflect the country’s vision of building a competitive economy based on knowledge and advanced technology.
He pointed out that Global Pharma won the “Industrial Growth” award for the second year in a row at the “Make in the UAE 2026” awards, which reflects the company’s keenness on excellence and innovation, supported by international partnerships and advanced technologies in the pharmaceutical industry.
Al Raqbani stressed that Global Pharma places the qualification of national cadres at its top priority through strategic partnerships with local and international universities and institutions to train and empower Emirati competencies in this vital sector.
He stressed that the wise leadership’s investment in building people has begun to bear fruit through leading national competencies and competitive Emirati industrial institutions regionally and globally.
He said that Global Pharma’s participation in the “Make in the UAE 2026” platform comes as a national manufacturer committed to enhancing pharmaceutical security in the country and providing products that conform to the highest international standards.
He pointed out that the pharmaceutical industry represents a strategic pillar in achieving self-sufficiency, explaining that all medicines produced by the company are completely manufactured within the Emirates in its factories in the Dubai Investment Park.
