“Discipline” punishes Mansour Saleh and Kaku with a fine and suspension in the Professional Cup final events

During its meeting today, Tuesday, the Disciplinary Committee of the Football Association took a number of disciplinary decisions, the most prominent of which were related to the events that accompanied the last match between Al Wahda and Al Ain teams in the final of the Professional League Cup, “Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup,” which was held last Friday, and ended with Al Wahda winning 4-2 on penalties and being crowned champions of the tournament.

The committee decided, unanimously and according to the official website of the Football Association, to punish Al-Wahda club player Mansour Saleh with a one-match suspension and a fine of 50,000 dirhams, for assaulting a player from the opposing team. It also decided to punish Al Ain’s Argentine player, Alejandro Kaku, with a one-match suspension and a fine of 50,000 dirhams, for the same reason.

The match between Al Wahda and Al Ain witnessed chaos and fistfights, before the Russian referee of the match, Sergei Ivanov, intervened to contain the situation and prevent it from getting worse.

The committee also decided to approve the loss of the G-Reds Club in its match against Dibba Al-Hisn with a score of 0-4, due to the decrease in the number of its players to less than seven during the course of the match, as part of the U-16 League competitions.

In another decision, the committee approved that the Falcon team lost its match against the Ajman Club, with a score of 0-3, for violating the player replacement system, in the U-15 League (C).
