Al Jazeera stumbles against Ajman…and puts third place under threat

The Al Jazira team is now threatened with losing third place in the professional football league standings, which is the qualifying position for external participation in the next season, after falling into the trap of a positive 1-1 draw against its host, Ajman, in the confrontation that brought them together this evening at Rashid Bin Saeed Stadium, within the 24th round, in the presence of about two thousand spectators.

“Abu Dhabi Pride” temporarily raised its score to 41 points in third place, awaiting the outcome of the expected confrontation between Al Wasl and its host Al Wahda tomorrow, as the two teams occupy fourth and fifth places, respectively, with 39 points each, which puts Al Jazira’s position at stake.

On the other hand, Ajman raised its score to 28 points in seventh place, after it had officially guaranteed its stay in the professional league since the last round, to play the remainder of its matches with greater comfort and in an effort to enhance its score.

The hosts opened the scoring through Victor Henrique in the 32nd minute, before Al Jazira equalized through Mohamed Elneny in stoppage time of the first half (45+5), so the confrontation ended in a draw that kept third place accounts open to all possibilities.
