Abu Dhabi, 6 May / WAM / His Excellency Ali Salem Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Family Development Foundation, affirmed that the anniversary of the unification of the Armed Forces will remain an eternal national milestone that embodies the strength of the union and the unity of destiny, and reflects the progress and leadership that the UAE has achieved thanks to the cohesion of the leadership and the people. He pointed out that this cherished national occasion establishes in the souls of generations the values of loyalty and belonging, and enhances pride in the honorable achievements made by the Armed Forces in the fields of duty, humanity, and preservation. His Excellency said: “The anniversary of the unification of the armed forces represents a great national occasion in which we recall with great pride the wise vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and his fellow founding fathers, who laid the foundations of a solid union and unified armed forces that have become a model of efficiency, readiness, and dedication to protecting the nation and preserving its gains.”
He explained that the UAE Armed Forces, through their honorable journey, embodied the highest meanings of dedication and loyalty to the nation, and contributed efficiently and competently, with the support and directives of the wise leadership, headed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” in promoting security and stability and protecting the achievements of development, in addition to its noble humanitarian role in extending a helping hand and supporting peoples in various parts of the world, in a way that reflects the established civilizational and humanitarian values on which the country was founded.
