DEWA is looking to enhance cooperation with Belarus

During his meeting with the Consul General of Belarus in Dubai, Aliaksi Galdebin, the Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Saeed Al Tayer, discussed ways of cooperation in the fields of renewable energy, innovation and sustainable development, and investment opportunities and joint projects.

He stressed the Authority’s keenness to enhance cooperation with international partners and diplomatic missions, in order to consolidate Dubai’s position as a leading global center in clean energy and sustainable development, according to a statement issued yesterday. Al Tayer reviewed the Authority’s most prominent projects and initiatives, noting that clean energy currently constitutes more than 21.5% of production capacity, and is expected to rise to 36% by 2030, exceeding the original target of 25%.
