Former Barcelona player Gerard Pique suspended for two months

The former Barcelona and Spanish national team defender, Gerard Pique, was suspended for two months in his role as owner of the Andorra club in the local second division of football, due to a heated argument with the referee.

The 39-year-old businessman, who retired from playing in 2022, entered into an argument with the referee after his team lost to Albacete 0-1, last weekend, in the second division, and the referee, Alonso de Ena Wolff, wrote in the match report that Pique, in addition to other members of the team, including officials and players, attacked the refereeing team.
