المملكة: 4 paths to reduce pollution and protect wildlife in “Environment Week 2026”
Launched Environmental System “Environment Week 2026” activities in all regions, governorates and cities of the Kingdom, with the aim of improving the quality of life and ensuring a sustainable future for future generations, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
Through this year’s activities, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture seeks to spread knowledge of environmental issues, and establish a sense of individual and collective responsibility, in addition to raising the level of community awareness and enhancing Purity of air and safety of water and soil.
The second track aims to protect wildlife and biodiversity, by intensifying efforts to protect terrestrial and marine areas, and supporting initiatives concerned with preserving rare plant and animal species in the Kingdom’s environment.
The third track works to create a common language between individuals and various governmental, private and non-profit sectors, with a focus on activating the role of youth as leaders of a sustainable environmental future, believing in the principle that impact begins with the individual.

The fourth track embodies the ambitions of the “Green Saudi Initiative” aimed at developing vegetation and combating desertification, through afforestation projects aimed at restoring the vital functions of degraded lands and reducing dust storms.
