"Made in UAE"…two agreements for…"Stand up" They enhance Ras Al Khaimah’s position as an attractive industrial centre

Ras Al Khaimah, 7 May / WAM / The Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zones Authority (RAKZ) signed two agreements with the Magrabi Retail Group and Mighty Industrial Park, during the activities of the fifth edition of the “Make in the Emirates” exhibition.
The two agreements reflect the growing position of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah as a competitive center for industrial investment and advanced manufacturing, and the growing confidence of investors in its industrial system and its ability to support long-term and expandable manufacturing operations.
The first agreement signed with the Magrabi Retail Group, represented by CEO Yasser Taher, aims to establish a store manufacturing center, a facility dedicated to the production of furniture, store equipment, renovations, and temporary marketing concepts across its retail network. The center is expected to serve up to 140 stores annually, while supporting the Magrabi Group’s operations in various GCC markets, in addition to providing up to 100 job opportunities and enhancing the company’s operational capabilities and regional expansion.
Yasser Taher from Magrabi Retail Group said: All of the group’s work is based on a philosophy that puts the customer first, and this investment reflects our long-term commitment to the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. It also supports efforts to improve the retail experience across our growing network. By unifying the production processes of our store environments, we ensure that every detail reflects our commitment to quality, innovation, and customer service excellence.
The second agreement is with Mighty Industrial Park, represented by shareholder Guichun Guo, to develop an integrated industrial complex between China and the UAE. The project will focus on metal recycling and disassembly, smelting and refining of precious metals, and advanced manufacturing, which contributes to the establishment of an integrated industrial system that supports sustainable industrial development and sector growth, and promotes circular economy practices in Ras Al Khaimah.
Gu said that the choice of Ras Al Khaimah comes because of the practical components it provides that allow the expansion of resource recycling projects, including industrial lands, the provision of services and logistical connectivity, and a supportive manufacturing environment, noting that “RAKZ” provides a platform for developing copper recycling, refining and manufacturing operations within an integrated industrial chain, and not as an independent facility, and with the support provided by the concerned authorities, Ras Al Khaimah is a long-term base for building a valuable system for the circular economy.
For his part, Rami Jallad, CEO of RAKEZ Group, said that the two agreements reflect the continued commitment to strengthening Ras Al Khaimah’s position as a leading center for advanced manufacturing and industrial investment in the region, stressing the keenness through such partnerships with quality companies such as “Maghrabi Retail” and “Mighty Industrial Park” to develop an integrated industrial system that supports innovation and keeps pace with global transformations in value chains and sustainable manufacturing.
On a related level, Jallad participated in a high-level discussion session alongside an elite group of leaders from the free and economic zones in the Emirates, where he reviewed the flexibility of the industrial sector in the country, supported by the integration of federal agencies and economic zones, and direct practical support for companies.
He stressed that flexibility, close communication with customers, and system integration constitute essential pillars for business continuity and enhancing investor confidence in the long term, which in turn is based on stability, scalability, and the ability to grow smoothly within an integrated environment.
When asked about the long-term commitments of global manufacturers, he said, “Certainty remains the decisive factor, and is achieved through a stable environment and an integrated system that allows smooth expansion and provides seamless access to logistics services, finance, and global markets, enabling companies to grow with confidence and sustainability.”
This trend is closely aligned with the “300 Billion Project” strategy, as RAKEZ contributes to supporting industrial growth, attracting high-value industrial investments, and providing the infrastructure and integrated system that enables companies to expand within the country.
Through its continued participation in major platforms such as “Make in the UAE,” RAKEZ continues to enhance this role by providing an environment that enables companies to grow confidently, expand smoothly, and adapt to global changes, in a way that supports the country’s long-term industrial and economic ambitions.
