Do not tolerate Iran’s agents and those who betrayed the homeland

Bahraini Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa confirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain is continuing with full force to protect its security and stability. He also stressed that we will firmly confront all Iranian agents and their destructive plans.

Al Khalifa praised the decisive and comprehensive measures taken by the government in this regard, and stressed that recent events clearly revealed the nature of men. It also differentiated between those who chose sincere affiliation to the homeland and those who chose to align themselves with its enemies.

The cross-border “Guardianship of the Jurist” project

The Bahraini Interior Minister touched on the brutal Iranian aggression that targeted Bahrain and the Gulf states, where he explained that the theory of the Guardianship of the Jurist went beyond the limits of religious authority to turn into a cross-border political project founded by Khomeini.

Al Khalifa pointed out that this ideology made the political affiliation of its followers linked to the ruling jurist in Iran and not to the countries in which they live, and this constitutes a direct threat to the sovereignty and stability of countries.

He stressed that Iranian policy has witnessed a hostile shift and blatant interference since 1979. Despite this, the Kingdom of Bahrain, since His Majesty the King assumed the reins of power in 1999, has adopted a pioneering national ideology based on tolerance and comprehensive amnesty for all those who have sinned against the nation.

Confronting the organization linked to the Revolutionary Guard

The Bahraini Minister of Interior added, “We cannot forget the joy of some people and their support for the hostile Iranian bombing of Bahrain,” and explained that this required a radical and decisive treatment with Iran’s agents who formed an organization linked to the Revolutionary Guard. He explained that the state had been patient with this organization for a long time and dealt with matters with forgiveness. However, its elements continued their destructive plans. It also worked to hijack the Shiite will, transform funerals into centers for intellectual mobilization and recruitment, and build loyal militias to be trained in external camps.

Authentic ingredient

At the conclusion of his statement, the Bahraini Minister of Interior stressed that the Shiite community is an integral component of Bahrain’s past, present and future. He stressed that the constitution and laws do not differentiate between citizens.

He pointed out that the Shiites of Bahrain are historically older than the theory of “Guardianship of the Jurist.” He also stressed the continuation of work to purify the security arena from those who harm the homeland in the service of external parties that attack the security and safety of the Kingdom.
