Despite the zero season… Real Madrid’s revenues rise by 3.1%

Spanish Real Madrid announced that it achieved record revenues amounting to 1.221 billion euros ($1.39 billion) during the 2025-2026 football season, despite its failure to win any title.
The Royal Club said in a statement, “Operating revenues, excluding player transfer revenues, amounted to 1.221 billion euros, an increase of 3.1 percent compared to the previous financial year.”
He added, “For the first time, Real Madrid exceeded the barrier of 1.2 billion euros, a number that no other sports institution in the world has achieved so far, which strengthens the club’s position as the owner of the highest revenues in the sports sector.”
Real Madrid explained that it achieved net profits after taxes amounting to 26 million euros ($30 million), an increase of 8 percent compared to the 2024-2025 season.
An increase in revenues from the renovated Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, which rose by 11 percent to 363 million euros ($413 million), along with new sponsorship contracts, helped boost the club’s financial performance.
Last month, Real Madrid hired its former Portuguese coach, Jose Mourinho, to supervise it, succeeding Alvaro Arbeloa, after two seasons without winning any major title.
He also concluded several deals this summer, including Portuguese Bernardo Silva and Marc Cucurría, who recently won the 2026 World Cup with Spain.
According to media reports, the club reached an agreement with Ivorian winger Yann Diomande to include him from German Leipzig, while the captain of the Spanish national team and English Manchester City midfielder Rodri are also among the names proposed as part of the restructuring of the team.
