Brazilian star Neymar announced his retirement from international football, after his last participation with his country in the 2026 World Cup.

According to statements reported by the Spanish newspaper “Sport”, Neymar said about his participation in the 2030 World Cup: “My adventure with the national team has ended. I made history there, and I am very happy about that.”

The 34-year-old Brazilian star added: “I did my best and always fought for the yellow jersey, but I think I no longer want it.”

It is noteworthy that Neymar concluded his career with Brazil, as the best scorer in the history of the national team, with 80 goals in 130 international matches, and 4 World Cup championships.
