On the International Heritage Day, and when our feet set foot on the ground, civilizations have witnessed, and we contemplate the walls on which the stories of the ancestors are engraved, we realize that the heritage is not just the remains of the past, but rather the roots extended in the depths of our identity.
Among the most prominent treasures of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are the archaeological palaces that tell stories about architectural creativity, and it represents an invitation to preserve the national memory and pride in what the ancestors left.

King Abdul Aziz Palace

The historic King Abdulaziz Palace is located in the Linah Center of the Rafha Governorate in the northern border, and its area is approximately 4320 square meters.

CAF Palace

Ibn Shaalan Palace, known as the Historic Palace of Al -Kaf, is located on the northeast of the village of Al -Kaf in Qurayyat, and near the mountain of Qadat al -Saidi.
The construction of the Kaf Palace began during the reign of Nawwaf bin Al -Nuri al -Shaalan when he was the ruler of the region at the time, and it took two years to build, ended in 1338 AH, and there is a historical document on his main gate.
It is a square warship on a medium -altitude hill, with an area of ​​about 2700 square meters, and it has 4 high towers in each of its corners.

Shubra Palace

Shubra Palace is located in the city of Taif, and it took two consecutive months from 1323 AH, and the reason for its name is due to its design inspired by one of the palaces held in the Shubra neighborhood in Cairo at the time.
The palace is characterized by its urban style, which relied on the mixing between the Islamic and Roman styles, and between the methods of traditional architecture, and the features of Islamic architecture are highlighted in the arches, columns, patchy, doors, windows and ceilings.
It includes approximately 150 rooms, and it has two entrances: main on the western side, and sides on the east, and it also has 4 similar facades interspersed with columns made of Noura and stone.

In its main hall, a double stairway of alabaster climbs to the two wings in the upper floor, including rooms of various sizes.
As for its windows and doors, they are made of wood decorated with artistic touches, and the palace was the headquarters of the Kingdom of the Kingdom when it was transferred to Taif in the summer during the reign of King Abdulaziz -may God bless him -and in the era of King Faisal -may God have mercy on him -became the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense and Aviation, then he turned into a museum of antiquities and heritage in 1408 AH.

The houses of Al -Rifai are an ancient Persian houses, and they reflect the excellent economic situation of the people of Knights. These houses are characterized by the beauty of their designs and the splendor of their inscriptions.

It was built in 1341 AH of hipped stones, and its walls were designed to reach a height of 6 meters.
Al -Rifai’s homes are a model of engineering and written decorations derived from Islamic arts.
In addition to large councils, homes usually contain a large major gate, and small rooms that were used to cool water and keep food.
