The ambulance teams of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, in the Grand Mosque yesterday evening, reported a case of fainting for a Umrah pilgrim of Egyptian nationality in her sixties in the Ismail Stone in the Tawaf courtyard.
The ambulance team began its work by administering first aid in accordance with the protocol followed for such cases. It was found that her case was a cardiac arrest, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation was performed until her pulse returned, and she was immediately transferred to Ajyad General Hospital.
It is noteworthy that the Saudi Red Crescent Authority is working to provide all human and emergency capabilities to serve the pilgrims and visitors to the Holy House of God. The Authority has also provided in various places inside the Grand Mosque more than 15 ventricular defibrillators (AEDs), which is a portable device that can be used to treat cases of cardiac arrest.
