 The women’s national squash team was crowned the World Team Championship for the sixth time in its history, after defeating America with a score of (2-0), during the final match, which was held in Hong Kong.

 

In the first match, Rawan El Araby won over Marina Stefanoni with a score of (3-1), and the results of the rounds were (11-6), (12-10), (6-11), (11-9).

 

Nour El-Sherbiny also won the second match against Olivia Weaver with a score of (3-1), and the result of the rounds was: (7-11), ( 11-6), (11-7), (11-7).

 

The third match was not played, considering its result as a win, and thus the national team was crowned world champion. For the fourth time in a row And sixth in its history.

 

The national squash team is represented in the World Championship by 4 players: Nour El-Sherbiny, ranked second in the world, Hania Al-Hamami, ranked third, Rawan El-Arabi, ranked seventh, and Amina Arfi, ranked third. The first coronation was for the women’s squash team in The 2008 edition, which was held in Cairo, where the national team was represented by Omnia Abdel-Qawi, Inji Khairallah, Raneem El-Welily, and Heba. Turkish.

 

In 2012, the Pharaohs’ women succeeded in adding the second title during the edition that was held in France, with the participation of the players, Omnia Abdel-Qawi, Raneem El-Welily, Nour El-Tayeb, and Nour El-Sherbiny.

 

During two successive editions in the 2016 and 2018 seasons, women’s squash added two titles, the third Fourth, with the presence of Omnia Abdel-Qawi (2016), Raneem El-Welily, Nour El-Sherbiny, Nouran Gohar, and Nour El-Tayeb (2018). The last and final edition was the fifth coronation for the Pharaohs’ women after winning the title, during the tournament held in Cairo, and the national team was represented by Nour El-Sherbiny, Nouran Gohar, Hania El-Hamami, and Nour El-Tayeb.
