Serious cases: 80 people were injured in a run-over accident in a market in Germany

Between 60 and 80 people were injured when a car collided with visitors to a Christmas market on Friday in the northern German city of Magdeburg, a local emergency services spokesman told AFP.
Emergency services reported a number of wounded in “serious” condition, and media outlets reported several deaths, indicating that an attack had occurred.

Local government sources said that the police arrested the driver. Videos on social media sites showed the Christmas market, located near the municipal building, crowded with ambulances and paramedics.
