The Kingdom welcomes the United Nations’ adoption of a resolution on Israel’s obligations related to the activities of the United Nations and other countries on behalf of the Palestinians and their occupied territories
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s welcome to the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption of a resolution submitted by the Kingdom of Norway in partnership with the Kingdom and a number of countries, requesting an advisory opinion from the International Court of Justice regarding Israel’s obligations related to the activities of the United Nations and other countries on behalf of the Palestinians in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Foreign Ministry stated that this decision, which aims to support and assist the Palestinian people in light of what they are going through, and clearly expresses the international consensus on the inherent right of the people Palestinian self-determination and the establishment of its independent state, and the Kingdom appreciates the positive position of the countries that voted in favor of the resolution.
