“Salman Relief” concludes the open-heart surgery and catheterization project in Aden

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center concluded yesterday the volunteer medical project for open-heart surgery and catheterization for adults in Aden Governorate, which was implemented during the period 21-28 December 2024 AD, with the participation of 15 volunteers from various medical specialties.

During the campaign, the center’s volunteer medical team performed 85 catheterization operations, 31 open-heart surgeries, and 3 bypass operations (catheter aortic valve replacement), which is a qualitative operation performed for the first time in Aden.

This comes as an extension of the volunteer medical projects provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Relief Centre. To help people and countries in need around the world.
