This evening, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Emir of the Hail region, is sponsoring the launch ceremony of the “Harfa Festival” for handicrafts, which is organized by the Emirate of the region, with the participation of more than 130 craftsmen and craftsmen, and more than 80 male and female volunteers, and it continues for 5 days at Al-Qashla Palace. Through the festival, the region celebrates the Year of Handicrafts 2025, which is the emirate’s first initiative based on partnerships with a number of government and private agencies.

Craft festival

The festival reflects the creativity of the Hail community in terms of textiles, handicrafts, and inherited artistic creations, including pottery making, fashion, beadwork, coppersmithing, tailoring, dyeing, blacksmithing, goldsmithing and jewelry, and other things created by the people of Hail.

The Craft Festival comes in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and its directive to name the year 2025 “the Year of Handicrafts”, in order to enhance the handicraft system that abounds in the region, and its prominent role in the cultural and economic movement, by providing the opportunity for craftsmen to benefit from displaying and selling their products and providing many job opportunities. Seasonality.

The festival, which receives visitors daily from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., targets all age groups and different nationalities to introduce handicrafts and the heritage of the region and the Kingdom, as the activities, events and corners of the participating parties vary. With the aim of enriching the festival and providing a distinctive experience for visitors that combines the introduction of handicrafts, entertainment and marketing.
