A third Emirati coronation… Al Wasl raises the “Super Shield” in Doha

Al-Wasl won the Emirati-Qatari “Super Shield” title after defeating Qatar’s Al-Sadd with an unanswered goal scored by Nicolas Jimenez, today, Saturday, at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in the Qatari capital, Doha, to win the “Emperor” its first title this season.

The match witnessed the participation of Argentine player Pobleti for the first time this season after he replaced Majed Sorour in the 65th minute, after being absent since last season due to a torn cruciate ligament.
On the other hand, Al-Sadd entered the atmosphere of the match after Al-Waslawi’s goal, and pressed strongly after the entry of substitute Mujica, who threatened the “Cheetahs” goal with more than one dangerous opportunity, most notably a ball he headed, and Khaled Al-Sanani excelled in stopping it in the 67th minute, before the same player wasted another opportunity in the match.
