Russian President Vladimir Putin directed the authorities in his country to monitor the economic situation in the country, in anticipation of any imbalances, stressing the need to work to stabilize the inflation rate at a moderate level.

Putin said, “Inflation rates in the country must be moderated and any imbalances in the economy and the consumer market in general should be avoided,” adding that “it is important to monitor the state of demand, its sectoral structure, and the volume of lending.”
