المملكة: Riyadh .. an emergency plan and field efforts during the rainy situation

The Riyadh Municipality has begun its field efforts to confront the rainy situation in the capital and many governorates, and the intensity of rain between medium and abundance varied, accompanied by the cold in some locations.
The Secretariat has adopted an integrated emergency plan to ensure the speed of response, treatment of water pools, and to enhance traffic flow.
The work of the Secretariat was launched according to 3 main stages: preparation, the treatment stage, and the recovery phase, which included pre -emptive measures to clean the valleys, maintenance of torrential drainage networks, equipment equipment and mechanisms, in addition to raising the level of readiness in the emergency room and direct coordination with the relevant authorities.

Rains of the Riyadh region

During the rainy situation, the field teams spread in critical sites, carried out water drainage operations, and traffic flows were seized to ensure that public facilities and main streets were not affected.
More than six thousand and five hundred human elements participated in these efforts between an engineer, an observer and a worker, in addition to using nearly one thousand eight hundred stomachs and specialized mechanism to ensure the speed of effective treatment.
These efforts reflect the strategy of the Riyadh Municipality in enhancing infrastructure and raising the efficiency of emergency response, which contributes to improving the quality of life and ensuring a sustainable urban environment, in line with the targets of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision in building more ready and efficient cities in the face of climate challenges.
