"Industry" The second edition of the National Professional Program is launched in the quality infrastructure

Dubai, March 8 / WAM / The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology launched the second version of the National Professional Program, aimed at building the capabilities of young national competencies in the areas of measurement and assessment of conformity, in the presence of His Excellency Khaled Al -Nuaimi, Director General of the Federal Youth Foundation, and each of Dr. Farah Al -Zarouni, Assistant Undersecretary for the Standardization Affairs Sector, and His Excellency Salama Al -Awadi, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industrial Development Sector in the Ministry.

This came during the organization of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology Council in Dubai, in cooperation with the Federal Youth Foundation, the Ramadan Assembly Initiative for Youth Councils, entitled “A youth vision for an innovative industrial future”, and a discussion episode for graduates of the professional youth program, which dealt with empowering Emirati youth in the field of quality infrastructure.

The youth contributions in “Make in the Emirates” were highlighted during the previous versions, and their role in the largest and most comprehensive version is scheduled to be held from next May 19-22 at the Emnik Abu Dhabi Center, and their vital contributions in supporting the quality infrastructure system in the country, in order to enhance the capabilities of the industrial and technological sector, and support the competitiveness of Emirati products in regional and international markets.

Al -Nuaimi affirmed the UAE’s commitment to providing all the tools necessary to give young people opportunities to improve their skills and capabilities, according to the directions of the national agenda for youth 2031 aimed at being the most prominent model in the various fields of national priorities, pointing to the firm belief that young people are the axis of development and the basis of innovation, and that building qualified national cadres is an essential part of the strategy to advance the wheel of growth, And establish the supports of a prosperous and sustainable society.

Within the framework of joint efforts with the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology through the National Professional Program, the endeavor to provide youth with knowledge and experiences that enhance the quality infrastructure in order to improve performance, within the focus on strengthening environments that stimulate creativity, through cooperation with all local and international bodies, to ensure that young people obtain all resources supporting their professional and cognitive growth.

Dr. Farah Al -Zarouni said that the UAE puts young people at the heart of the national development strategy, and in line with the directives of the high leadership in the ministry, the empowerment of young people in the field of quality infrastructure is a basic pillar to enhance national capabilities in the field of measurement, competitiveness and support for the future, especially the quality infrastructure sector that includes the areas of specifications, conformity, accreditation, standards, and control of markets.

She explained that all government teams are working to provide young people with the knowledge and tools necessary to develop their skills in various sectors, especially in light of the UAE’s progress of six centers to the fifth position globally in the quality infrastructure index for the sustainable development of 2024, issued by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, which requires the continuity of building on this national achievement in cooperation with all strategic partners.

Aisha Saqr Al -Suwaidi, head of the Youth Council in the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, affirmed the commitment of the Council, in cooperation with the Federal Youth and Other Youth Councils at the state level, with the support and empowerment of young Emirati competencies and enhancing their contribution to the march of industrial growth, noting that these efforts come a translation of the directives of the higher leadership in the ministry, which gives young people priority and support and believes in their pivotal role in enhancing the competitiveness of the industry and advanced technology sector At the international local levels.

She said: During the event, we focused on urging young people to participate in designing the largest and most comprehensive version of the “Made in the Emirates” forum, while highlighting the opportunities available to them in the industrial sector, and introducing them to the mechanisms of contributing to the growth of national industries and enhancing their competitiveness, as well as the launch of the second version of the National Professional Program, which aims to qualify young national competencies and arm them with knowledge and practical experience in the technical and industrial fields, and enhance their role in Building a sustainable future for industry in the country.

The national program for young professionals in the country is being implemented under the umbrella of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, in cooperation with the IEC IEC, and during the past year, 11 young Emirati competences were graduated, which contributed to strengthening the quality infrastructure system in order to support the growth and competitiveness of national industries and services.
