Planning to create a peacekeeping force in Ukraine enters the operational stage

Military leaders in the United Kingdom are scheduled to meet today, Thursday, with planning to create a peacekeeping force in Ukraine, “the operational stage”.
British Prime Minister Kiir Starmer is trying to mobilize a coalition from countries with the desire to strengthen any peace agreement that may reach him between Kiev and Moscow.

Ukrainian President Folodimir Zellinski said he believed that a lasting peace can be achieved this year, after a phone call with US President Donald Trump.

Starmer is expected to meet with military planning officials after he announced at the beginning of the week that military commanders will meet to “develop strong and solid plans.

And that these plans aim to strengthen a peace agreement and guarantee the future security of Ukraine.
He also pointed to the move towards a “operational stage” in the confirmation of Thursday’s meeting.

A threat to war with NATO

A few days ago, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev threatened, on Sunday, to enter into a war against NATO (NATO) if European countries stick to their plans to deploy peacekeepers in Ukraine.
The Russian Vice -President of the Security Council stated, in a post on the “X” website that French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Kiir Starmer “play a stupid game”, adding: “They have always been said that peacekeeping forces must be from non -NATO countries.”

It is noteworthy that Medvedev, who was a liberal politician during his presidency from 2008 to 2012, has repeatedly issued headlines since the beginning of Russia’s war against Ukraine by launching severe threats such as using nuclear weapons against the West.
The Jordanian government valued the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and its main role in hosting talks between the United States of America and the Federal Republic of Russia, confirming its support for all efforts to stop the war and achieve international peace and security.
