During the past years, the health projects implemented by the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen contributed to providing comprehensive medical services for more than 4 million beneficiaries in various Yemeni governorates, and these services varied between building and equipping hospitals and medical centers, rehabilitating and operating medical facilities, building medical staff capabilities, providing training and creating jobs, as well as providing health awareness, in enhancing public health, and improving the level of medical services in Yemen.

Development projects and initiatives that targeted the support of medical facilities are part of comprehensive medical support and raising the level of the health sector in Yemen, where support included 26 medical facilities in 9 Yemeni governorates, which helped to improve and expand the scope of providing health services to Yemeni citizens, as hospitals and specialized medical centers played a pivotal role in treating patients from all over Yemen.

Among the most prominent health projects implemented by the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, the King Salman Medical and Education City project in Al -Mahra Governorate, this project, which extends over an area of ​​one million square meters, includes building an integrated hospital with a capacity of 110 beds, in addition to a number of outpatient clinics and operating rooms, and this project is one of the vital projects that serve the health and educational sectors in Yemen.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman Hospital in Aden is one of the most important medical edifices that contributed to improving health services in Yemen, and the hospital is characterized by providing more than 2.4 million medical services since its operation through the program. It also includes 14 specialized clinics and a heart center, and the hospital extends over an area And attention to improving health care services.

The establishment of the dialysis center in Al -Mahra Governorate came to meet the needs of people with kidney disease, as the center presented more than 97 thousand medical services specialized in the field of dialysis, and conducted more than 22 thousand dialysis sessions, which contributed to alleviating the suffering of many patients who need this treatment periodically.

The Specialized Oncology Center in Taiz is one of the important projects that aims to provide diagnostic and treatment services, and the center will provide medical services specialized in the treatment of radiological and chemical tumors, which contributes to improving treatment opportunities for patients in various regions of Yemen, and this project is an important step towards improving health care in the field of oncology treatment, which is one of the most challenging areas in the health system.

The Hadramout University Hospital project and the Cancer Center extends over an area of ​​39,625 square meters, as one of the projects that will support the provision of integrated health care in the region; It aims to provide high -quality medical services to patients in Hadramout and all Yemeni governorates, and is considered one of the important projects in strengthening the health structure in Yemen.

In support of maternity and childhood care services in Abyan Governorate, the program prepares several facilities that include the sections of women, childbirth, motherhood and childhood care, hypnosis, operations and emergency rooms, and will include internal and dental clinics, ear, nose and throat, and will provide radiology rooms and laboratory, and will also include the hospital equipment with laboratory, radiology and sterilization devices, and providing devices designated for surgeries, and surgical operations, To contribute to upgrading health care services in Abyan Governorate and various Yemeni governorates.

The program provides a number of medical projects in the Ma’rib Governorate to raise the efficiency of health services in the governorate, and an improvement in the appropriate health care for the population, by providing the necessary medical equipment and devices for several hospitals, in addition to preparing the radiology and magnetic resonance department at the Ma’rib General Authority Hospital, which is of high importance, as the MRI device is the first of its kind in Marib Governorate and the third at the level of Yemen with its modern technologies.

Projects and health initiatives in Aden Governorate included the preparation of the blood laboratory at the Republic Hospital, where the project provided specialized medical devices, raising the efficiency of the health sector and improving health care for the residents of Aden Governorate and its environs, in addition to preparing the kidney center in the Republic Hospital, in order to contribute to raising the efficiency of medical services in the hospital and providing treatment for kidney patients, by providing modern medical devices that included dialysis devices with all their accessories, in addition to a fragmentation device Stones, to increase the center’s capacity and serve more auditors.

The Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen is keen to provide special support to the most needy groups in society, including children with disabilities, as the project came to benefit more than 7 thousand beneficiaries; The center aims to provide rehabilitation and care services for children with disabilities, which contributes to improving their lives and enabling them to better live.

The projects and initiatives of the program are served in Socotra Governorate, including the project to rehabilitate the Motherhood and Childhood Center to improve the level of services provided in the field of reproductive health, as well as the project to rehabilitate the Nujid Health Center for the service of emergency cases, including: the obstetrics that the center began to receive after rehabilitation and equipment of the birth room, and the emergency room that receives chronic and urgent cases, along with the project to rehabilitate their health center. A number of medical devices needed to operate it, to contribute to raising the efficiency of health care services in their mayors in Socotra Governorate.

Health projects were not limited to building and equipping facilities, but also included training local medical cadres and developing their skills. This support contributed to raising the efficiency of the Yemeni health sector and creating new job opportunities in the field of health care, which helps in improving the level of services provided to citizens.
