The inauguration of a new stage of the volunteer medical program at Prince Mohammed bin Salman Hospital in Aden

The volunteer medical program at Prince Mohammed bin Salman Hospital in Aden Governorate began a new stage of its stages, in children’s heart surgery, through medical cadres and competencies from inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The program comes with the support and implementation of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works and the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, with the participation of medical cadres and competencies from inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and his stay at Prince Mohammed bin Salman Hospital came in light of the high readiness and advanced medical capabilities of the hospital.

The volunteer medical program consists of medical projects in several specialties that include open heart surgery, cardiac catheterization, neurosurgery, orthopedics, plastic surgery, burns, deformities, and urinary tract surgery, in addition to the medical project for specialized clinics, to contribute to reducing the human need from all Yemeni governorates.

It is noteworthy that the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen presented multiple projects and initiatives to support the health sector in Yemen, which included building and equipping hospitals and medical centers, rehabilitating and operating them, and building the capabilities of medical cadres, within its projects and development initiatives that amounted to 264 projects and development initiative in 8 basic and vital sectors: education, energy, transport, water, agriculture and fish wealth, and programs Development, support and development of government capabilities.
