“No desire for Putin” .. Trump doubts the end of the Ukrainian war
US President Donald Trump said today, Saturday, that he doubts that Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to end his war in Ukraine, expressing his doubt again that a peace agreement can be reached soon.

“There is no justification for Putin’s missiles at civilian areas, cities and towns during the past few days,” Trump said in a social media post on his return to the United States after attending the funeral of Pope Francis.
Trump hinted that more sanctions can be imposed on Russia. “This makes me think that Putin may not want to end the war, but only deals with me, and it should be dealt with in a different way, through banks or secondary penalties, a very large number of people die,” Trump wrote.
Trump had met earlier today, Saturday, with Ukrainian President Folodimir Zellinski shortly in the Vatican before the funeral of the Pope.
