Digital transformation tops the scene at the conclusion of a conference "Simlil Middle East 2025 "

Dubai, May 22 / WAM / Dubai today concluded the activities of the Digital Economy Technology Conference and Exhibition “Simm Middle East 2025”, which is the largest regional gathering of e -commerce experts, financial services, logistics, and digital technologies.

The third and final day of the conference highlighted the issues that affect people’s daily lives: such as purchases, delivery of products, and regulation of payments on digital platforms.

The activities witnessed a remarkable participation of senior government officials and international experts, as well as delegations from the League of Arab States and a number of regional and international organizations and in the presence of exceeding 30 thousand participants.

Over a period of three days, the conference was a leading regional platform to discuss the future of digital transformation in the Arab world, and to provide innovative solutions to face economic challenges, and to enhance the opportunities for digital economy growth through infrastructure development, and investing in qualified human competencies.

And the conference included a program that is full of more than 200 sessions and lectures that dealt with vital issues such as e -commerce, digital identity, and smart payments, as well as live offers of the latest digital technologies in a specialized exhibition, in which regional and international companies participated.

High -level meetings were organized between representatives of the public and private sectors that resulted in recommendations that will be submitted to the General Secretariat of the Arab League on digital legislation and encouraging investment in innovation, to create national environments in support of the digital economy and sustainable and integrated digital development.

In a session titled “Expanding Operations”, experts from regional and international companies discussed ways to accelerate the movement of trade between the countries of the Middle East by employing technology and strategic alliances.

The working papers confirmed that smart phone screens have become new shopping gates, and they exceeded the sales and purchases of geographical borders, and transformed the markets from local to regional and global.

Participants emphasized that this transformation requires a more flexible logistical infrastructure, and is able to keep pace with the rapid digital rhythm, and to meet the aspirations of consumers who have always been connected to digital networks.
The “Sustainable E -Commerce” session discussed how brands can develop sales and profitability without damaging the environment.

The attendees put forward practical models to reduce losses and adopt environmentally friendly materials, in efforts to make e -shopping responsible and moral.

Among the most interactive sessions was the session “Overlooking Experiences in stores”, during which experts reviewed how it became possible to try products by default through augmented and virtual reality technologies, and before purchases to give the shopper a sense of confidence before making purchasing decisions.
Artificial intelligence was not absent in the sessions, as many of them dealt with how huge data and machine learning can make supply chains faster, more efficient, and even more flexible in front of crises.

In the Financial Technology Pavilion, discussions focused on the future of financial transactions and topics such as “money by phone”, “digital identity”, and “fraud in the digital age”.

Specialists have provided visions on how to secure data and expand the financial inclusion base, especially in areas that are not reached by traditional banking services.

Abdullah Ibrahim Al -Darmaki, Deputy Secretary -General of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, stressed that the dialogues witnessed by the conference, whether in the sessions halls or seminars in the exhibition, succeeded in highlighting the practical applications of technology and facilitating access to digital services, noting that economic opportunities in the region are huge if it is based on knowledge and innovation.

He said that the activities of the conference ended, but its impact will remain a paradise, investments, and development trends of Arab countries .. Although the sessions were carrying the language of innovation, the message was simple, which is that the world changes quickly, and whoever does not keep pace with this change, will be much late for the path of global growth.
