Washington will host the 2026 World Cup draw on December 5

Washington on August 22 / WAM / FIFA announced that the American capital, Washington, will host the final draw for the 2026 World Cup, on Friday, December 5, at the John F Center. Kennedy for show arts.

The announcement came during an official event in the White House, in the presence of Donald Trump, President of the United States and Chairman of the Center’s Board of Directors, and Jiani Infantino, FIFA President, where the importance of the event was emphasized as one of the most prominent stations on the path of organizing the largest edition in the history of the tournament with the participation of 48 teams.

The lottery ceremonies are scheduled to gather the representatives of the teams, the officials of the host cities, and the international media delegates, as well as a group of fans, who will be able to attend the event through a special clouds organized by “FIFA” that includes 16 hosted cities in Canada, Mexico and the United States.

The lottery activities, which start at 12 pm Washington time, will be broadcast directly to various parts of the world through FIFA official broadcast partners.

It is noteworthy that the three host teams were installed in specific locations within the match schedule, which are Mexico (A1), Canada (B1), and the United States (D1). The list of the 48 teams participating in the championship will be completed next March through the matches of the global attachment.
