Do you start Wednesday? Conflicts of statements between Russia and Ukraine regarding the talks

The statements between Russia and Ukraine conflicting about a new round of peace talks between the two countries.
In Kiev, Ukrainian President Folodimir Zellinski announced the setting of a date for a new round of talks with the Russian side, which will be held next Wednesday in Turkey, despite the recent military escalation that included intense Russian attacks with running planes and missiles on the capital Kiev and other Ukrainian cities.
In his daily speech on social media, Zellinski said that he discussed with Defense Minister Rustam Omar the preparations for the third round of the dialogue, noting that “additional details will be announced on Tuesday.”

Russia doubts the feasibility of negotiations

In Moscow, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that there is a lot of diplomatic work before the upcoming round, in light of a complete contradiction in the positions of both parties, stressing that his country will announce history as soon as it is agreed.
Peskov said that the previous round that was held in Istanbul has not achieved any concrete progress, as the two parties exchanged drafts that include completely contradictory demands, and “now requires arduous negotiations to bring the views closer.”

Russian demands and Ukrainian rejection

During this tour, Moscow submitted demands that include the withdrawal of Ukraine from 4 regions that Russia announced an inclusion in 2022, in addition to rejecting all forms of Western military support.
However, Kiev promised these demands unacceptable warnings, stressing that she adheres to joining NATO and the European Union, and the need to stop the shooting immediately before talking about any political solutions.

Military escalation precedes the talks

The announcement of the new tour came after a wave of unprecedented Russian attacks, which included the launch of more than 450 deputies and a missile, targeting 6 regions of Kiev, as well as damage to Ivano-Francifk, Karkiv and Sumi.
Zelinski said that two people were killed and 15 were injured, including a child, stressing that these strikes were an attack on humanity reflecting Moscow’s lack of seriousness in stopping the war.
Several civilian facilities, including the Lukeianvka train station in Kiev, a shopping store, and children’s custody, were damaged, amid scenes of destruction and debris in the streets.

Meanwhile, French Foreign Minister Jean-Nawil Barrow arrived in Kiev on an official visit, during which he expressed “France’s fixed support”, and strongly condemned the Russian attacks, saying: “Even the shelters are no longer safe, as is the case with the metro station that was hit.”
He added in his speech from the Ukrainian capital: “These strikes have no military target. They only aim to terrorize civilians, and they must stop now.”
Barrow pointed out that French companies decided to manufacture drones in Ukraine, without revealing their names, confirming the continued military support and expanding the capabilities of air defense, Kiev.
