Document Ragheb Alama was prevented from singing in Egypt and referring him to investigation .. I know the reasons
The Egyptian Musical Professions Syndicate, headed by the artist Mustafa Kamel, issued an official decision to prevent the Lebanese artist Ragheb Alama from singing inside Egypt until his investigation, against the background of what the union described as “violating the Egyptian customs and traditions.”
This came after his last concert in the northern coast region and witnessed a wide interaction from the audience, and the spread of videos that sparked widespread controversy on social media.
Mustafa Kamel said in a strongly worded statement: “I continued for two days a disgraceful behavior that contradicts all Egyptian customs, traditions and societal values, and we will not allow it to be repeated on the land of Umm Kulthum, Abdel Wahab and Halim.”
He added: “Egypt’s theaters have always been a platform for high -end art, and will not be used in the suggestions and arms that cause disgust.”
Call, investigation and temporary ban
The union announced the summons of Ragheb Alama for the investigation, and to stop his statement to work inside Egypt until its appearance before the investigation committee, and the union also addressed the Chamber of Tourist Facilities to investigate the owner of the facility that hosted the ceremony.
The union described what happened as “the clear and deliberate projection of all values and customs,” noting that the scenes that appeared at the ceremony – according to the description of the statement – “are not worthy of Egypt or its audience.”
Different reactions
Farid Bou Said, the head of the Lebanese musicians’ captain, was officially not informed of the decision, but he expressed his full respect for the Egyptian Syndicate, stressing that the matter was “under search” and that there is a expected communication with Mustafa Kamel to discuss details.
In the same context, the artistic critic Amal Othman said that the responsibility of what happened does not fully fall on the singer, but rather the organizer of the ceremony, stressing that “the artist cannot control the audience on the stage”, but stressed the need to set controls for public parties to ensure respect for public taste and the image of Egyptian women.

Decisions to control the technical scene
The union’s procedures did not stop at Ragheb Alama, as Mustafa Kamel announced the permanent removal of 3 members from the Voice Performance Division, due to violations related to the re -publishing of old videos of an inappropriate nature, despite the signing of previous pledges.
The captain stressed that the union is monitoring the technical scene in secret and in coordination with the official authorities to control the violations, stressing that “the era of indulgence has been over, and that the union is currently going through its best and organizational ages,” which gives it a space to make bold and independent decisions.
Kamel pointed out that new videos documenting additional violations, stressing that new investigations will open from tomorrow, and that the union will address the Ministry of Tourism and the Chamber of Tourist Facilities to prohibit dealing with places that promote what he described as “artistic degradation.”
