المملكة: A maximum of 20 shares … a ministerial organization ends the accumulation of classes for teachers

The Ministry of Education has granted education departments in the regions new powers aimed at reducing the disparity in the teaching stability between male and female teachers in one specialization.
This is through new organizational measures that allow the transfer of teachers between schools within the educational sector itself, according to the priorities of geographical proximity, in a move aimed at strengthening professional justice and achieving the efficiency of the use of educational cadres.
The ministry explained that the assignment will be through the approved electronic systems, with the need for the specific distance to the assignment not to exceed the range of 75 km, according to the accredited mandate distance, while emphasizing the commitment to specific controls to ensure justice and not to prejudice the school environment.

Regulatory controls

In its organizational controls, the Ministry stipulated that the teacher assigned to be one of the surpluses in his original school after completing the shares of his colleagues, and that the average shares of teachers in the future school exceed 75% of their teaching quorum according to their educational ranks, which reflects a real need in that school.
Education has identified a higher ceiling for the permitted class for the teacher in charge, as the quorum of the teachers of my ranks does not exceed the “teacher” and “a teacher of“ 20 lessons per week, 18 shares for the rank of “advanced teacher”, and 14 shares for the rank of “expert”, while obliging school departments to rotate the assignment between specialization teachers inside the school, to ensure the fair distribution of teaching burdens.
This organization comes after the ministry monitored a great contrast in the shares of teachers in some schools, even within one city, where some teachers are assigned up to 24 lessons per week, while others do not exceed the same specialization than 6 classes, which was considered an indication of an urgent need to activate more just and flexible distribution mechanisms.
The Ministry expected that the new procedure will contribute to achieving professional justice among teachers, and raising their job satisfaction, as well as improving the efficiency of educational human resources distribution in schools, in line with the targets of the quality of education and raising learning products.
