المملكة: The Kingdom has become a global model in the fight against corruption

The Director General of Education in Jeddah, Manal bint Mubarak Al-Lahibi, confirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has reached an advanced level and has become a global model in the field of combating corruption, thanks to the support of the wise leadership and the solidarity of all parties.
This came during its inauguration today of the seventh annual forum, organized by the Internal Audit Department in Jeddah Education on the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day under the slogan “Enhancing Integrity, a National Priority,” in the presence of education leaders and the participation of specialists, academics and legal experts on the stage of public administration.

Achieving leadership

Manal Al-Lahibi praised the efforts made to achieve leadership in the fight against corruption, stressing that the Ministry of Education, like other state institutions, is concerned with instilling the values ​​of integrity and ethical behavior, as it is a religious creation and a human demand to protect the individual and society from the evil of corruption.
She added that Jeddah Education seeks, through its various activities and activities, to spread awareness of the importance of the values ​​of integrity and warn of the dangers of corruption to development and society.
She pointed to the pivotal role of educational institutions and schools in building concepts of integrity and protecting property and public money, stressing the importance of the role of internal audit as a supervisory body that contributes to achieving the highest standards of governance and ensuring the integrity of procedures, in addition to promoting a culture of accountability and combating corruption in its various forms.
Al-Lahibi stressed the effective role expected from schools, which is in educating male and female students about the dangers of corruption, instilling a sense of responsibility in them, strengthening their commitment in their dealings to integrity and transparency, and preserving national gains.

Internal audit

While the Director of the Internal Audit Department at Jeddah Education, Nayef Al-Khathami, confirmed that internal audit is not just a control tool, but rather a strategic partner that aims to protect public money and ensure the sustainability of resources. He explained that combating corruption is a participatory responsibility that requires the combined efforts of everyone, noting that the forum enhances cooperation with regulatory authorities, raises the efficiency of internal control, and works to spread awareness of the importance of adhering to professional and behavioral regulations and regulations.
