The head of religious affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman Al -Sudais, stressed that the presidency is continuing to promote digital transformation, by increasing the number of interactive screens and smart robots during the last ten days of Ramadan, due to the expectation of the high number of intended and visitors.
Driving enrichment sectors
He pointed out that the presidency is working on digitizing and automating the direct enrichment sectors, through smart applications and robots supported by artificial intelligence, such as “a beacon robot”, which aims to provide legal and guidance information in several languages, in a way that keeps pace with smart digital transformations, and enhances the delivery of the central mission message to the world with the latest technologies.
He explained that “Robot Manara” represents the icon of artificial intelligence in the Two Holy Mosques, as it contributes to answering the inquiries of the intended, and is an advanced cognitive beacon that harnesses smart technologies to serve visitors, which embodies a pioneering model in the use of artificial intelligence to provide religious information in modern and effective ways.

Sharia and guidance services
This success comes as an extension of the presidential efforts in promoting digital services, and harnessing the latest technologies to provide advanced legal and guidance services, facilitating the performance of the rituals and enriching the religious experience of visitors and pilgrims.
Interactive screens, global electronic readers, simultaneous translation devices, and artificial intelligence robots have contributed to providing integrated legal content, allowing those intended to access instructions and information easily, and gave more smoothness and technology to the experience of visitors.
