The transitional government in Syria

In the same context, the head of the transitional government in Syria, Muhammad al-Bashir, called on his citizens who fled the country during the years of conflict to return to their homeland following the fall of President Bashar al-Assad, in an interview with an Italian newspaper published on Wednesday.
Al-Bashir told the Corriere della Sera newspaper, “I appeal to all Syrians abroad: Syria is now a free country that has deserved its pride and dignity. Come back.”
He stressed that “the rights of all people and all sects in Syria” will be guaranteed.
