The Minister of Health and Population opens the Third International Conference on Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, opened the Third International Conference on Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology, which was held from December 18 to 20, 2024, with the participation of the Egyptian Radiology Society and many local and international companies in the field of radiology. < /p>

 

The Deputy Prime Minister began his speech by thanking the Egyptian Radiology Society and all partners and supporters at the level. The local, regional and international health sector, especially in the field of diagnostic radiology.

 

The Deputy Prime Minister stressed during his speech that this conference is a testimony to the rapid progress in medical science and technology, noting that This scientific gathering serves as a certificate of distinction on the map of international radiology conferences through the strong presence of all prominent national and international speakers and delegates in addition to our private sector partners working in the field of diagnostic radiology. And interventional.

 

The Minister of Health and Population added that radiology has a pivotal role in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning, in addition to strengthening continuing medical education programs for radiology technicians and using simulators in practical training.

  Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, said that the Minister visited the conference’s exhibition and viewed the latest radiology equipment to learn about the latest technology in the field of diagnostic radiology, pointing out that These scientific events contribute to exchanging opinions and sharing the latest scientific methods and best medical practices in the field of health care.

Abdul Ghaffar added that the conference aims to discuss ways to expand radiology and “remote diagnosis” services, and improve the efficiency of workflow. By implementing the latest technologies to simplify clinical operations, enhancing international cooperation through partnerships to exchange knowledge and experiences, and strengthening the base of cooperation with the private sector.

The Ministry’s official spokesman indicated that the opening of the conference included honoring some distinguished models and cadres of workers. For his part, Dr. Mohamed Fawzi, advisor to the minister and supervisor of the General Administration of Radiology, said that the conference includes many training workshops in the field of diagnostic and interventional radiology, in the presence of a group of Lecturers and experts, which contributes to raising the efficiency of about 3,200 people, including doctors and radiology technicians, attending the conference.
