“Muslim Elders” condemns the attacks in New Orleans and Las Vegas

The Muslim Council of Elders, headed by His Eminence the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, condemned the run-over that occurred in a street in the city of New Orleans, and the explosion that occurred in front of a hotel in Las Vegas, in the United States of America, which resulted in a number of deaths and injuries. .
In a statement issued today, the Council affirmed its categorical rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism that target innocent people, explaining that they contradict the tolerant teachings of Islam, divine laws, and all international charters and norms.
He also renewed his call for the necessity of working to unify efforts to confront manifestations of hatred, violence and intolerance and to spread the values of dialogue, tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
The Muslim Council of Elders expressed its sincere condolences to the government and people of the United States of America, and to the families and relatives of the victims, asking God Almighty to grant the injured a speedy recovery.
