Urgent.. President Sisi from the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ: Protecting our country through our love for each other
His Holiness Pope Tawadros II received the Pope of Alexandria, Patriarch of the See of Mark, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, at the Church of the Nativity of Jesus Christ, who limited himself to congratulating the Egyptians on their holiday, as he used to do every year.
Amidst a great warm welcome from the attendees who were keen to Greeting the president and shaking his hand, President Sisi said, Happy New Year for the second, third, and tenth time. Happy New Year, and His Holiness the Pope is fine. And peace, and we are all well and in peace.
The president added: God willing, a happy year. A year, thanks to God, that will be better than previous years. I follow all matters and see all possible reactions and concerns. It will be justified.
The President stressed that I am talking to everyone through you. In Egypt, we do many things that many do not care about. We do not forget that we have a God. The world is not abandoned like that. We believe in God and know very well that God exists and no one can do anything in this existence except by God’s command. This means that we take every reason to protect our country, and the first thing is our love for each other. The balance of love between Egyptians increases every day from the day before, and the level of awareness of Egyptians is increasing. He made them able to deal with everything inside and outside Egypt with all awareness.
The President stressed: I deal with all matters with integrity and great honor, even if the person responsible for you is not It is good that you fear for your country if its hands are tainted with the blood of the people. Fear for your country if its hands take the people’s money. Fear for your country. Praise be to God, neither this country exists nor the other, so do not be afraid. Egypt is big and strong.
The President added: His Holiness the Pope has a great place in my heart. May God protect him and you.
