The mining sector rises.. European stocks close mixed

European stock indices closed mixed today, with global markets focusing on inflation expectations.
The European STOXX 600 index rose by 2.21 points, or 0.43 percent, to close at 515.88 points.

It led the gains, rising by 1.47 percent, while falling by 0.84 percent.

The German DAX index closed down by 12.84 points, or 0.06 percent, to reach the level of 20,317.10 points.

While the British FTSE 100 index rose by 68.66 points, or 0.83 percent, to reach the closing level of 8,319.69 points.
The French CAC 40 index also rose by 37.86 points, or 0.51 percent, at close, to reach the level of 7,490.28 points.
