The King of Jordan stresses the need to stop the war on Gaza

The King of Jordan, King Abdullah II, stressed the need to stop the Israeli war of genocide on the Gaza Strip, warning of the danger of attacks on the holy places in the city of Jerusalem.

 

This came during his reception. In the capital, Amman, today, Sunday, the Secretary of State of the Vatican City, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, is part of an official visit that the latter is making to the Kingdom, according to a statement from the Royal Court. The statement stated that “the necessity of stopping the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip and strengthening the humanitarian response” was stressed. He praised the Jordanian King for “the Pope’s position in support of ending the suffering of the people of the Gaza Strip.” King Abdullah warned “the danger of continued Israeli attacks on Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.” Cardinal Parolin expressed his thanks to the King for his support and care for the Christian presence in Jordan. Cardinal Parolin had attended the inauguration of the Church of the Baptism of Christ for the Latins in the Baptism, on Friday, which was built on a plot of land that the King had directed to allocate for this purpose.
