Muhammad al -Sharqi: Investing in knowledge is a basic pillar in building the future of the country
Fujairah on April 28 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, affirmed that investment in modern knowledge and science is a basic pillar in building the future of the country, pointing to the role of scientific councils in promoting a culture of constructive dialogue and transferring experiences between generations, and supporting national efforts in the comprehensive development process.
This came during the presence of His Highness, in the Council of Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi at the Rumaila Palace, a lecture entitled: “The Future of Scientific Research: How does scientific research constitute our next world?”, Which was presented by Professor and Emirati physicist Ahmed Eid Al -Muhairi.
His Highness pointed to the interest and follow -up of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Muhammad Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, for the various scientific initiatives in the emirate, which would support national competencies and enable them to keep pace with global developments in various fields, in a way that serves society and enhances the comprehensive development process in the UAE.
The scientific session dealt with the importance of scientific research as a pivotal tool in the formulation of a sustainable future based on knowledge, as well as highlighting the vital role of science in facing the challenges of the times, as well as highlighting the support of the UAE government for national competencies, and its keenness to provide an environment that stimulates innovation and scientific research, which contributes to enhancing its position as a leading scientific and knowledge center pioneering at the regional and global levels.
The session also reviewed the most prominent challenges facing the march of scientific research, in addition to the promising opportunities available to the next generation of Emirati researchers to contribute to building a future based on knowledge, innovation and sustainability.
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Naea Al -Tunaiji, Director of the Council of Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, affirmed the council’s keenness to host a group of experts and specialists in various scientific and intellectual fields, in implementation of the vision of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah aimed at supporting the cultural and knowledge movement, and enhancing the role of the council as an intellectual radiation center that contributes to developing societal awareness and building human.
The session was attended by a number of officials and youth interested in the scientific and cultural affairs in the Emirate of Fujairah.
